Amazon, the largest internet-based retailer in the world, is on the lookout to hire full-time courier drivers at its Richmond location. The salary starts at $14.50 per hour and increases to $15.00 per hour after 90 days—based on a performance review—plus overtime pay. The work schedule for courier drivers is 6:45 a.m. to 5:15 p.m.
Couriers will be responsible for providing package deliveries around East and West Contra Costa County. Amazon will provide successful candidates with hands-on paid training, a vehicle, gas, insurance and a uniform.
To be eligible for the available positions, Amazon requires that applicants be at least 23 years old, hold a valid CA driver’s license, have a clean driving record (no accidents, suspensions or more than one point) and pass a pre-employment drug screening and criminal background check.
Required experience for the available positions include one year of customer service and one year of fast-paced labor.
