Ed Fund to Award College Scholarships to WCCUSD Seniors

Are you a high school senior attending a public school in the West Contra Costa Unified School District (WCCUSD) with a dream of attending college? Students who meet certain criteria can receive help to make their dream come alive thanks to college scholarships being offered by the Ed Fund. Students attending school within the WCCUSD boundaries who have earned at least a 2.0 GPA—and who have filled out their Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) or California Dream Act Application—can qualify to apply for an Ed Fund college scholarship ranging from $1,000 to $5,000. Per information released by Ed Fund Development & Communications Director Laura J. Giacomini, college scholarship applications must be completed by March 4, 2017, at www.edfundwest.org/our-scholarships. “The Ed Fund manages a scholarship program for high school seniors attending a public school within the boundaries of West Contra Costa Unified School District who demonstrate financial need and have a strong desire to positively impact their community” said Giacomini in the statement.
