The Bay Area Rescue Mission—a Richmond based, non-denominational Christian ministry that empowers the homeless and others in need to institute lasting change through various programs and services—is on the lookout to hire a part-time to full-time delivery driver.
The ideal job candidate will possess a valid California’s driver’s license, a clean driving record meeting the standards of the organization’s insurance carrier and an excellent knowledge of the streets and freeways of the greater East Bay region.
The Bay Area Rescue Mission also is seeking a driver who is courteous, conscientious, honest and who possesses excellent interpersonal communication skills and the ability to safely lift and load various items onto a truck.
Reporting to the manager of Warehouse & Distribution, the delivery driver’s key job responsibilities include safely and courteously picking-up or coordinating the picking-up of donations from designated donors and delivering to the Bay Area Rescue Mission; operating warehouse machinery, including forklifts, baler and moving equipment; and generating a log and filing receipts/paperwork related to donation activity.
