If perusing local art while enjoying delicious deli delights and soaking in the summer sun sounds like the perfect Sunday afternoon, this event is for you.
The Arts of Point Richmond (AOPR) will be teaming up with Little Louie’s Deli, 49 Washington Avenue, Point Richmond, to host a one-day, pop-up art show on the popular eatery’s outdoor back deck.
Set for Sunday, July 30, 2017, from 3-7 p.m., “Art on the Deck” will feature individual works from a variety of local Point Richmond artists that organizers say are “deemed safe for family viewing.” It will be the art organization’s first exhibition at Little Louie’s and artworks from a diverse range of media will be on display.
The exhibition, which will take place following the deli’s Sunday brunch, will include “special finger foods and beverages for purchase,” for attendees according to event organizers. The eatery’s deck will be cleared of tables and chairs so that visitors can easily peruse the artworks on display that day.
The AOPR members who will be exhibiting in the pop-up gallery July 30 will include Denise Vejby, Virginia Rigney, Bob Colin, Gretchen Blais, Irene Hightower, Jim DeWitt, Mary Lee Cole, Nancy Whitley, Rita Gardner and Steve Hurst.
“There will be an array of art to enjoy and to buy: paintings, photographs, prints, note cards and artful clocks,” AOPR Chair Irene Hightower told For Richmond.
